WCM Associates is an approved Lean Trainer for the Maryland World Class Manufacturing Consortium (www.mwcmc.org) and the Business Excellence Consortium (BEC) at the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) (www.bec.msoe.edu) Our strategy is to “teach you how to fish,” rather than to just “give you a fish.” Early on in our relationship with clients, we develop a WCM Associates exit strategy. Our clients do not become dependent on WCM Associates for their Lean activities. As part of this strategy, we make all of the WCM Associates’ training material available to our clients. WCM Associates has created a “true” Lean Master Facilitator Certification (LMFC) program so that our clients can develop their own Lean in-house experts. Our partnership with the Milwaukee School of Engineering’s BEC provides for a certification that is backed by University review and accreditation. Graduates of our LMFC are eligible for 9 undergraduate college credits or 6 graduate credits. Other consulting organizations say they have a certification program, but who is it certified by? Unlike many of WCM Associates’ competitors, we will not tell you that implementing Lean and becoming a World Class Enterprise is solely about our consultants helping you do kaizen events—it is about deploying lean as part of how you run your business. Our work is guaranteed. If a client is unhappy with any activity that is performed, the client does not have to pay.
